Visionarium is a Science Centre in the North of Portugal, 30 km south of Oporto. At Visionarium we are invited to enter a great scientific adventure, where a universe of emotions and experiences stimulates our senses and knowledge.
Like at Cité des Sciences La Villette in France, or at Exploratorium in S. Francisco, USA, visitors in Visionarium can experience science on a hands-on approach and make use of different technologies,
Opened since 1999, Visionarium is the result of the vision of AEP, the Portuguese Business Association, a nation-wide business association, based in Oporto and founded in 1849. Its mission is to contribute to the diffusion of the scientific culture on both national and international levels.

Visionarium offers a special way to celebrate birthday parties. From being a film director for one day (in order to learn how to make animations) to perform as a one-day chef (to learn the chemistry behind cooking) different sets are displayed for creating unique memories of exclusive birthday parties.
